Stop This, NOW!

This madness MUST stop, and NOW!

As a former member of the Armed Forces, one who attended Courts Martial as a witness, attended numerous NJP Proceedings (Non-Judicial Punishment) on behalf of the Commanding Officer, and made recommendations for administrative discharges (both good and bad) to the Commanding Officer and the Command Master Chief for enlisted folks, I am appalled that the United States Government would appeal the decision that dismissed all charges against United States Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani.

From what I have read and studied about this case, this is, without a doubt, in my military mind, a blatant attempt by the government to find a scapegoat, by what ever means. It appears that senior officers are attempting to placate some politicians, and in the offering, they want to make Lt. Col. Chessani the sacrificial lamb in order to placate and appease.

The military prosecutors, in their zeal, simply cannot fathom that the 'Haditha Massacre' is NOT akin to the 'My Lai Massacre', some 40 years ago. 'Haditha' is a manufactured 'outrage' by the media, much like 'Abu Gharaib'(although not as serious as Haditha) and it will not end until someone is found guilty, no matter how trivial the charge is.

From my perspective, the media has portrayed this as a reverse Malmedy Massacre:

But, so far, nothing can be further from the truth, but that has never stopped the MSM from offering their opinions in an attempt to influence the American Public, because we all know the media would never do that!

I have more respect for Lt. Col. Chessani and the fictitious Col. Jessup than I do for those twerps in JAG.
