Well, Here We F*cking Go Again...

During the last election, my city, like many others, voted for those democrats that promised lower taxes, promised not to raise taxes, and promised less government waste, much to the chagrin of my fellow conservatives who warned voters not to fall for that mantra from democrats.

Well, tho and behold, those very same democrats, much like Obama, lied through their teeth about increased taxes, fees, surcharges, etc. Recently, the local school board presented their budget which was approved by the city, and then proceeded to tout the fact that they had saved property owners money from their annual property taxes. I even heard on the local radio show, one member of the Board stating emphatically that these tax savings were a 'significant saving' over the previous school proposed budget.

Let me ask you, fellow readers, do you consider a tax reduction of about $15.00 a year for a $150,000.00 house a 'significant saving'?

Yea, me neither.

So, with a democrat controlled city council, they have now proposed a 1/2 percent telecommunication tax increase, which will affect cell phones, cable TV (and internet), satellite dish TV (and internet), and land lines, to name a few, to make up for a budget shortfall for...guess what?

F*cking Road Repairs!

This proposed tax will negate the 'significant saving' from my laughably reduced property tax, so in the end run, once again, the taxpayer is taking it in the shorts, without the common courtesy of a reach around.

But then again, I expected it.
