For Me, But Not For Thee...

I long suspected Charlie Rangel (D-Tax Cheat-NY) was an unethical individual, so this comes as no surprise to me.

This is exactly what the problem is with having long entrenched politicians in office...they believe themselves to be above any laws that apply to me and you (that they enact) and thus should not be held accountable for their transgressions.

The American taxpayer knows quite well what will happen to them if they skirt paying taxes...fines, penalties, garnishments, liens, and possible seizure of their property and assets, but yet politicians like Charlie Rangel and others of his ilk continue to wield power and influence in Washington without really having to answer to we, the voters, and we in turn are supposed to just accept their excuses, apology non-apology, and move along quietly.

Well, enough is enough, and it is high time politicos like Rangel are sent into permanent retirement, and we get back to citizen legislators instead of this continually re-elected inside the beltway, 'For Me, But Not For Thee' aristocracy.

That just makes me sick. Sadly though, it does NOT surprise me. If only his constituants would grow "a pair" and impeach his arse.
