Aw, Jeez...

here we go, folks. The GOP is issuing missives and statements about how the election was lost, but once again, they miss the point.

With all do respect, Rep. Boehner, this election is a repudiation of the Republican Party and conservatism, much like the elections of 2006, and there is a very cogent and concrete reason why.

The reasons why the GOP and conservatism have been rejected for the past two election cycles are many, but the basic reasons are you felt it necessary to abandon the conservative principles as enumerated by Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, and sought the approval of moderates, which by the very title of their position should have given you caution, but you did not take heed.

And for that, you lost the election for us, not the other way around.

And so, here we are, once again. You are begging and pleading with us down home Republicans and conservatives to again swear allegiance to the GOP, and march lockstep with you to victory in 2010 and beyond. But, there is one small problem with your thinking.

We ain't buying it this time!

Your lackluster attempts to bring us conservatives back into the GOP needs some serious revamping. Instead of sending us letters from the RNC and its' affiliates begging us to send you money to defeat the liberal agenda, how about doing something new and novel...explain to us, after years of massive federal spending, why we should contribute to you? You are the ones that got drunk on the power of taxpayer monies, not us. We implored you for years to reign in spending, but yet our requests were met in vain...and your idiotic and insulting letters for contributions continued...promising change, but delivering the same.

When we implored you to make the necessary changes in leadership, and appoint the new and upcoming conservatives to take the reigns of leadership and make real and meaningful reforms, what did we get?

More of the same.

If you in the leadership cannot make the changes we asked, nay, implored you to do...what made you think the American electorate would listen to you?

Because of your colossal ineptitude, you offered nothing more than a 'Kerry/Edwards' style of politics, namely...we don't know what exactly we are for, but we know we are against 'Obama/Biden.'

You offered nothing, and in exchange, received nothing, except of course a serious ass whopping.
