I Often Wonder Why We Even Bother...

Saturday, February 28, 2009

when some conservatives deem it necessary to ridicule the efforts by other conservatives to make their (and by extension, our) voices heard against this massive expansion of governmental intrusion into our lives.

Case in point, Rick Moran from Right Wing Nut House . Mr. Moran's views on the recent 'Tea Parties' that have occurred over the past week or so are dismissive of the results, so disdainful of the efforts, that one must ask a simple question...why?

Mr. Moran, is it because these parties were started not by the elites in Washington? Is it because it was not started by the Country Club Republicans? Is it because it was not started by the Rockefeller Republicans? Is it because those who started these protests are just the common, every day type folks?

Mr. Moran pontificates that these protests amounted to a small turn out, and thus, should be dismissed as not worthy of anything except derision , but he misses the point entirely. The point is that we have had conservatives across the nation that are not willing to put up with being silent, and have decided to do something about it. And where does Mr. Moran stand on this issue?

I think his haughty, closing remark will suffice.

"When you get some money, organization, professionalism, and a little more realism, come back and see me."

GG, I left Rick a comment too. Quite a few of the comments were derogatory.
I personally did not find out about the Austin gathering until late Thursday evening. That I was able to go at all (I was late) was a miracle!
Funny thing, the handful of folks who showed up all had connections with folks from other parts of the state. The march on the Capitol, planned for July 4th will be interesting to watch and participate in.
So for you conservatives sitting on your butts and saying look at the idiots gathering... wait to see the idea grows!

Like that would ever happen!

People with mind-sets like that make me cringe.....

Moran needs to be strung up right next to O'Vomit just for the fun of it.
